Camp is Coming!


Hello friends and partners of the ministry. We are coming up on an exciting time of year! Spring is supposedly here, but it doesn't quite feel like it yet which makes for some contact work in layers. Leaders are going to lacrosse games, track meets, and tennis matches. Our local clubs have started up again at Avon Lake High School, Avon High School, and Wyldlife Club at Avon Middle School. In the start of spring we have had more students sign up for camp than ever before this early. We are going with our HS students to Rockbridge Resort, in Goshen, Virginia from June 16th-21st. We are also taking MS students to Michindoh Camp in Hillsdale, Michigan June 24th-28th. 


There is still time to sign-up your student, but spots are going quick!

With camp comes our fantastic fundraisers. We currently have our mulch sale going on right now and are collecting sponsors for the Young Life 5K run on June 9th.  

If you are considering get mulch this spring, order with us and help kids go to camp! We order our mulch through Kurtz Bros. and the sale ends May 29th.  If your family would like to sponsor our 5K run and help kids go to camp (or if you know of a local business), we would love your help!

Please help our students go to camp, and please pray more would want to sign-up to experience the best week of their lives!

5 Years & Fiscal Year End

     It has been 5 YEARS since we took the plunge into the call God had before us, going on staff full time in Lorain County, Ohio. He has grown and changed me and Megan so much through the past 5 years and our family! We packed up our cars and our brand new puppy, Kota, and drove out to Cleveland unsure of what the Lord really had in store for us. From the time we got hired to our first 3 months, we went from 3 staff in the area to just me. I was hired to be in the area under an Area Director and upon arriving that role was vacant. God stretched us and graciously led us to step into that role as we learned on the run. We have faced a lot of turns like that in our time here but God has been faithful to provide a way. Our family has also radically changed. We are now blessed to have our two boys! Aiden is 3 years old and Fin is 7 months old. Young Life Lorain County Continues it's Mission

The Mission Continues      In the midst of the Coronavirus Pandemic so many things about everyday life have changed and Young Life has not been immune to the hurdles the outbreak has created. While we have made adjustments for the safety and well-being of students and leaders in complying with the state and federal standards, we have not stopped in the intentional pursuit of our mission to "introduce adolescents to Jesus and help them grow in their faith." One of our first Zoom Clubs  Pressing On     Here are some of the things we are doing to press on and make the most of what God is doing: Weekly Leadership meeting. A time to pour into and check on our leaders as well as creatively collaborate on some of the best ways to reach and care for kids. Weekly Campaigner Bible studies on Zoom.
