Young Life Metro Bowl

Every Super Bowl Sunday for the last 4 years, Young Life leaders and kids from around the area all gather at Bay's Memorial field for a friendly, relational game of football.  The rules are simple... run hard, get open, hit hard (unless you want to declare only two hand touch) and win! The year Tony Alexander's team and Alex Meyer's team squared off for the showdown of showdowns.  Although the teams were random and not just Lorain County vs. Cleveland West, the play was real.  Cale LaRiccia (all time QB this year due to a recent surgery) threw for 19 touchdowns to Alex's teams scant 17 touchdowns.  Players ages ranged from 16- 51, but many of the old guys still got it!  Our leaders play football just like they follow Jesus.  They pursue, they tackle, they huddle, they are open and available, they catch, and most importantly, they stick around after the play.  Kids around Cleveland know these characteristics to be true of their Young Life le...

Lorain County Young Life Needs Your Help

God is doing big things in Lorain County every day and the future is exciting. Leaders are stepping into students’ lives and caring for them and pointing them to a greater hope, Jesus.  They volunteer their time to be at games, coach sports, be at the school, invite students into their homes, get food with them, and tell them about the greatest love story of all time.  Our area is in need of more teammates to fund the mission so that our prayerful vision can come to fruition! Celebrate and Dream With Us The mission in LoCo is currently in Avon Lake HS, Avon HS, Avon MS, and at Lorain County Community College.  In addition, we have a joint Cleveland Metro Capernaum club (our ministry to students with special needs). We hope to continue to build up these ministries, adding new leaders as they are trained and placed. We are so thankful and excited by what the Lord is doing in these towns and ministries. So Much to Be Thankful For

HAPPY THANKSGIVING! Students from all around NE Ohio at Fall Weekend at Camp Fitch during club We hope you had a Happy Thanksgiving and we wanted to share how thankful we are! There are so many things we are thankful for in Lorain County Young Life. We wanted to spotlight just what the Lord did at our annual fundraising Banquet and our Fall Weekend trip with high school students. Banquet Recap             The 2018 Lorain County Banquet was a great success and it couldn't have happened without our great committee & sponsors. We had a room full of adults who care about young people being loved and told about the greatest news that can be told, Jesus Christ and His desire for us. We had an interest in joining our committee and our prayer team. Banquet attendees were able to meet our awesome leaders (Blog post about them coming soon!).
