Summer Wrap-Up, School Year Ahead!

The Lord did some awesome stuff this summer!!! We had an amazing camp trip at beautiful Rockbridge in Goshen, Virginia. Lorain County went with Cleveland West and had a big group of Clevelanders representing at camp! Both Avon and Avon Lake had kids that had an amazing week at camp. At the end of the week, multiple first-time campers decided to start a relationship with Jesus. Seeing kids stand up at the end of the week and say "yes" to Jesus is one of those mountaintop experiences. Most importantly, we know it means that eternities have been changed, and these young folks have moved from death to life!

Now we are moving forward with a laser focus toward the school year! Our clubs will all be starting soon! Avon and Avon Lake HS started club on September 24th with an all Cleveland Metro Clubble. It's club in a giant bubble with a paint war! Also, WyldLife kicked off the semester with club last  Friday at Avon Middle School Gym at 7PM-8:30PM. It was wYLd! We had a ton of kids show up and had a lot of fun with each other as we shared about Jesus with them. We are so excited for the year and can’t wait to see what God will do!

Prayer Requests
  •         Pray for our leaders to be connected with Jesus and bold in going and meeting new students
  •         Pray our current Campaigners kids would come alongside the leaders and have a vision and passion to reach their lost friends and know Jesus more
  •        Pray our area would have more financial partners helping sustain the mission

Banquet Recap             The 2018 Lorain County Banquet was a great success and it couldn't have happened without our great committee & sponsors. We had a room full of adults who care about young people being loved and told about the greatest news that can be told, Jesus Christ and His desire for us. Young Life Lorain County Continues it's Mission

The Mission Continues      In the midst of the Coronavirus Pandemic so many things about everyday life have changed and Young Life has not been immune to the hurdles the outbreak has created. While we have made adjustments for the safety and well-being of students and leaders in complying with the state and federal standards, we have not stopped in the intentional pursuit of our mission to "introduce adolescents to Jesus and help them grow in their faith." One of our first Zoom Clubs  Pressing On     Here are some of the things we are doing to press on and make the most of what God is doing: Weekly Leadership meeting. A time to pour into and check on our leaders as well as creatively collaborate on some of the best ways to reach and care for kids. Weekly Campaigner Bible studies on Zoom. 5 Years & Fiscal Year End

     It has been 5 YEARS since we took the plunge into the call God had before us, going on staff full time in Lorain County, Ohio. He has grown and changed me and Megan so much through the past 5 years and our family! We packed up our cars and our brand new puppy, Kota, and drove out to Cleveland unsure of what the Lord really had in store for us. From the time we got hired to our first 3 months, we went from 3 staff in the area to just me. I was hired to be in the area under an Area Director and upon arriving that role was vacant. God stretched us and graciously led us to step into that role as we learned on the run. We have faced a lot of turns like that in our time here but God has been faithful to provide a way. Our family has also radically changed. We are now blessed to have our two boys! Aiden is 3 years old and Fin is 7 months old.
